Step 1: connect HeyReach with Clay
- Open your Clay table with the leads you want to send.
- Add a new column > click Add enrichment > search for HeyReach.
Select HeyReach > Add Lead to Campaign.

When prompted:
- Click Manage accounts > Add connection.
- Name your connection (e.g. HeyReachWorkspace1).

Now, jump into HeyReach:
- Go to Integrations > HeyReach API.
- Generate your API key specifically for Clay.
- Paste it into Clay’s connection window.

Boom. You’re connected.
Step 2: create your campaign in HeyReach
Now you need somewhere to send the leads.
- In HeyReach, go to Campaigns > create a new one.
- Click Create empty list > give it a name > mark it as a lead list.
- Choose your LinkedIn senders and start building your sequence.

Here’s the fun part: personalization variables.
Use dynamic variables like this:

Just make sure:
- No spaces
- Use only letters, numbers, _ and -
- Keep it consistent across Clay and HeyReach
This is where your Clay data turns into real, meaningful messages.
Step 3: push the leads from Clay
Back in Clay:
- Select your HeyReach campaign from the dropdown.
- Map fields like first name, last name, LinkedIn URL, etc.
- Map custom fields exactly as you wrote them in HeyReach {like_this}.

⚠️ Heads up: If you leave the LinkedIn account blank, HeyReach will randomly assign a sender from that campaign.
Once everything is mapped, run the column in Clay. Your leads will start flowing into HeyReach like magic.
Bonus: If you have auto-update turned on in Clay, it’ll keep sending new leads automatically.
Step 4: test & monitor
Once your leads hit HeyReach:
- Your campaign status will flip from “Finished” to Ongoing.
- Check analytics and make sure all leads and variables are there.
- If anything looks off, tweak your campaign and re-sync.
And just like that—you’ve got a living, breathing lead pipeline running between Clay and HeyReach.
